Downtown Art Scene Gets A Fresh Coat Of Paint

new additions to the artistic pulse of downtown colorado springs

There's a lot to love

Downtown Colorado Springs is more than just a place to dodge scooters on your way to grab coffee with someone you met at a networking event. It is an incredibly beautiful, quirky canvas of a place where art meets everyday life (or is sometimes crashed into by it–watch your whole-ass self down here). With seriously cool murals and sculptures large and small, our city’s creativity thrives in such diverse concentration downtown. And there’s ALWAYS something new around a corner that’ll make you stop and say, "Well, that’s unique." Sometimes it’s art. Sometimes it’s not.

There’s A New Masterpiece in the Alley Behind our Building (This one is art!)

If you come visit us leave out back and you’ll run right into Artwalk Alley, which is also awesome and you should pop in there if it’s open. BUT go right toward Kiowa, past the trash cans, and there is a head-turner of a mural at the end by local artist Jazz Holmes. This piece is like a splash of color therapy right in the middle of the city. It’s bold, it’s gorgeous, and it’s the perfect excuse to stop, take a breather, maybe snap a photo, and feel like you’ve absorbed some culture for the day.

The Humpty Dumpty Sculptures: They’re Multiplying. A Little Weird, A Lot of Fun

You can find these guys in a couple other spots around Colorado Springs, but they are seriously growing in numbers at the Plaza of the Rockies like not-so-little bronze surprises. Thank you, Kimber Fiebiger, for the joy of discovering new oversized egg dudes whilst on our many excursions Downtown.

AdAmAn Alley: Where Tradition Meets Art Meets Nighttime Magic

Okay, this is not exactly "new" because it went up a couple of years ago, but it is AMAZING. This place is super cool to check out during the day, but when the sun goes down, AdAmAn Alley becomes a whole new world. This tucked-away haven, lined with murals and colorful lighting, feels almost magical at night. It’s an excellent spot if you’re looking for a cool, quieter vibe, perfect for a late-night walk when you want to escape the busier parts of downtown and consider the crazy awesome shit people do in the name of celebration and tradition, or just enjoy the glow, whatever.

The pioneers museum is back!

After what feels like for-ev-er, the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum has finally reopened its doors. It’s been a long wait, but this beloved institution is back to celebrate the rich history and culture of our region. Whether you just love old stuff or want to learn something new, this is a must-see. Plus, it’s the perfect excuse to finally step inside one of downtown’s most iconic buildings and get a fresh look at the stories that have shaped Colorado Springs.

Living in the Middle of It All

If you’re thinking, "I could get used to this", we’ve got you covered. Living downtown means being steps away from all the art, culture, and yes, the occasional surprise. We also understand if just visiting is more your jam. It can get a bit wild down here at times, so it’s not for everyone. Either way, come down here and see us! There is always something new to discover!
